You play as the main protagonist, Daisy, who is new to town and new to the racing scene. You compete in races to level up and earn money!

There are currently some placeholders for features I want to implement in later versions. I'll also continue to expand the number of characters in the game and have FMG happen to more than Daisy!

This is my first project with RenPy and this is only the first version, I have a handful of ideas in mind for what to do, but I'd love to hear any feedback you have as well!

Unsure if intentional, but my car's performance lowered after reducing its weight.

UX could be better by removing Yes/No prompts when attempting a race. Tutorial is needed of course, but once that's been done, the player doesn't need to be asked again. And asking if the player wants to race after they've already click the race option is redundant.

Game has potential, I look forward to future updates.

Unintentional, I fixed the weight issue for the next version, it should now improve performance. Tutorial should never pop up again once No is selected. I reworked the navigation a little bit to make it easier to repeatedly race.

not a bad start and a pretty new an interesting idea, however there's many flaws, the game has no skill level at all you can beat everyone with as simple as 10 clicks, and the upgrades become useless because they don't really do anything. 

A few ways you could fix this is make it so it requires a certain amount of clicks to beat each opponent depending on the level you are, upgrades could increase the amount of time you have to click and if you know how to code it how many clicks you can get per click, for example: 1 click could = 5 clicks.

lastly the models are nice however its really random with each girl you race, since daisy is growing her opponents should get bigger as she levels up making the smaller girls at lower levels and the biggest girls like the red head and blonde girl at the highest levels

The opponents should increase in difficulty, each time Daisy levels up and a little bit when you upgrade your car. 

Currently the outcomes for races are determined by taking the score for your car and multiplying that times the amount of clicks you do. Then the opponent takes into account your car's score and Daisy's level and some preset constants to calculate the opponents score. If your score is higher than your opponents, then you win.

I was worried about trying to balance making the race too easy vs too hard, but looks like I missed the mark on that one.

My larger vision is to make the race game into a top down racing game that you can use WASD for.


As for the models of the opponents being random, I would like to end up making a tier system of the opponents and having boss battles, so that it should make more sense. I've also seen someone suggest a rival character and that is something I would like to explore at some point.

car upgrades don't stick with save

:( I'll try and figure out what I need to change in order to make them save. Did you notice if the shop's prices were resetting or was it just the car score?

Perhaps include how much money you currently have in the hud to make it easier to see how much you currently have? Similarly have the level xp as well so you don't have to run home every time you want to check your progress.

Could it also be possible to make it so you can race back to back instead of having to go back through the menus? Have an option to race again or not?

Good idea! I'll include the money & XP in the hud, and I can make it so that you can do back 2 back races easier.

Great that will help with the gameplay loop

The car upgrades are not very satisfying, since its pretty easy to win every race, but making the races harder doesn't make much sense since mashing left click is not particularly fun.

Muscle growth doesn't do anything other than change the art and increase race rewards for some reason? It doesn't really make sense.

I want to improve the race a lot more, I'd like to make it into like a top down racing game that you can use WASD for. I'll also work on fleshing out the story and having it make a bit of sense.

For the rewards, I'd like to move the rewards to be based on the opponent (they are currently based on your level) and then give like a level system to the opponents with like a boss battle every handful of levels.

very fun idea and great potential but somewhat lacking specially in department of world building. still very fun for a fmg fan,
